The vadu mangai season has just begun this week and there is no better place than the hawker stalls on South Mada Street to get a feel of what is on sale this summer.
A couple of hawkers who specialise in selling the vadu mangai at this time of the year are offering a variety of these, sourced from different places.
Prices range from Rs.100 to Rs.300 and there are shoppers who say the prices are stiff and will give this a skip or seek it elsewhere.
But there are others whose mouth water at the sight of them and are making their pickle-making plans after getting good deals at the hawking stalls.
