QMC halls being readied for ballot count

The long and spacious halls at Queen Mary’s College, Mylapore are being prepared for the counting of ballots for this Assembly election.

Normally, the votes of constituencies in North Chennai are stored here soon after they are cast and later, counted. This time, on April 6.

Workers have been erecting casuarina poles to create dividers in areas where the counting will take place on May 2.

A few police personnel have been seen on duty at the gates and in the college campus.
