Getting the float ready for the teppam at Sri Adi Kesava Perumal Temple in Mylapore may not be a challenge and long affair as it is for the Sri Kapali Temple.
This one is compact and simple. But workers had a job on their hands today as they they toiled in the sun this morning to set up the basic structure in the water in the Chitrakulam.
It is the level of water that needs attention here – workers say that a few lorry loads of water will have to be emptied into the tank to have a smooth float from Feb.11.
Also of concern is the large amount of waste that gets thrown into this tank – bottles, plastic and such.
