Civic workers are working at a feverish pace to clean up posters and wall graffitti of political parties. And this began early this Saturday morning in the Mylapore area. This comes in the wake of the official notification by the Election Commission of elections to the state Assembly.
The workers have a backbreaking job on their hands since the posters and writings on the walls, public and private increased since early this year.
The focus is on cleaning up the walls of state and central govt. campuses.
Private property owners can also ask for the grafitti to be removed.
Parties need to take permission of property owners to let their walls be used for election propaganda communication.
