Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher, G. Narendra Rao has been chosen for the Narthaka Nipuna award for 2020 that is given by ABHAI ( Assn. of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India).
The CIT Colony-based senior artiste will be decorated with this award at ABHAI’s annual day event to be held March 20 at Narada Gana Sabha’s auditorium in Alwarpet.
Narendra, known for his exquisite performances has also curated and directed a few dance productions that have travelled abroad and been staged here, via the Avigna Dance Company.
He is also respected for his solo recitals and for being a dedicated teacher, with classes taken at a dance school off Bazaar Road and also at his CIT Colony space.
