Pongal celebrations are to be held on Sunday, January 10 at Thiruveedhi Amman Koil Sreet in R K Nagar in R A Puram.
They begin at 8 am and will go on for two hours.
The fest starts with a kolam contest that is open to all. There will also be snappy music concerts and guests will then be treated to snacks.
There is also a display of eco-friendly products.
The R K Nagar community has been putting its hands together to develop a clean and green neighbourhood and the changes are showing in some streets here.
