The heads of all local area civic agencies have been formally thanked for their services to the Mylapore community when cyclone Nivar and the subsequent rains battered the neighbourhood.Each officer was given a hand-designed certificate created by Adyar artist V. V. Ramani and was signed on each by about 15 Mylaporeans. Community activist Baskar Seshadri handed over the certificates.
Seen in this photo is Venkatesan, Chennai Corporation AEE who oversees the four divisions of 123 -126 covering most of the Mylapore zone; he has his office alongside the Chitrakulam tank.
