Admissions are open for nursing course at St. Isabel Hospital’s College of Nursing at Musuri Subramaniam Road, Mylapore.
The course offered is Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery. It is a 3-year course. Students who have passed out of class 12 (any group) can apply for it.
Says the principal of the college, “Students will have to compulsorily stay at hostel during their period of study.”
Fee for the course will be Rs 70,000 (per year). The amount includes hostel accommodation fees. An additional fee of Rs 2000 has to be paid every month towards the Mess fee.
On the completion of the course, the principal says the students may choose to work at their hospital. They may also write government/railway exams for the post of nurse. The starting salary will be Rs 13,000.
The college is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr M.G.R Medical University and their courses are recognised by the Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council and Indian Nursing Council.
