Most fishing boats of fishermen in the kuppams of San Thome and Pattinapakkam were seen parked on the sands this morning.
Since the weather department said a cyclone was approaching the coast and the sea would be rough, fishermen should not sail into the seas.
But towards noon, a few fishermen sailed into the sea to catch fish.
The cyclone warning continues and fishermen will not be able to sail tonight and on Tuesday.
