While some schools had a small celebration at their campus to mark Teacher’s Day today, some others decided to just exchange greetings through social media.
Teachers from Lady Sivaswami Girls School, Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Senior Secondary School and Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Higher Secondary School were honoured at an event held at the Lady Sivaswami Girls School campus at East Mada Street, Mylapore today (Sept. 5) morning. A few teachers who stay close to the school attended the event along with the heads of the schools and committee members.
At Children’s Garden School, Mylapore, the headmistress R. M. Karpagambal says, “We usually have a grand celebration. But this year we decided not to due to the pandemic. The students have been sending wishes to their teachers through Whatsapp since today morning”.
