Temples in the neighbourhood have been opening their doors to the public since today morning (Sept. 1). Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, however, will take atleast one more week to reopen, says Swami Naravarananda, the public relations officer of the Math.
He says, “We are still waiting for instructions from our headquarters at Kolkata. We are still working out the logistics regarding social distancing and crowd control and so will probably not open for atleast a week”.
Whenever the temple opens, he says, all the protocols with respect to cleanliness will be followed. A wash basin and liquid soap has already been provided near the main gate so that devotees can wash their hands and face before coming in. Hand sanitizers have also been placed at several places all throughout the campus.
