Following the heavy rain this evening, Abhiramapuram First Street off Dr Ranga Road in Mylapore has got flooded.
Resident Giridharan Kesavan says rainwater is stagnating here as the inlets to the stormwater drain on this road are buried under the tar road.
He says, “When this road was re-laid a few months ago, the inlets got buried and filled with bitumen mix. They are yet to be cleared.”
