On August 16, the neighbourhood reported a spike in number of streets with virus cases – almost 26 streets reported cases on this day.
Streets like Vendanta Desikar Street, Annai Nagammai Street and Periyapalli Street reported cases after a long time.
The day also saw all Wards of Mylapore reporting new virus cases, according to Chennai Corporation’s data.

Ward 124: Srinivasa Road, Thatchi Arunachalam Street, Vendanta Desikar Street, Slaterpuram
Ward 125: CID Quarters, Arundale Street
Ward 126: Periyapalli Street, 7th Trust Cross Street, Annai Nagammai Street.
Ward 173: Greenways Road Lane, Robertson Lane, Kamaraj Salai, South Kesavaperumalpuram Main Road, Narayanaswamy Thottam 1st Street.
