Yet another total lockdown Sunday passed quietly on August 16.
Through the day, there was hardly any movement of people or vehicles save for milk vans and police patrol jeeps and lorries on essential services duty.
Police were stationed at some road junctions to keep an eye on anybody who moved on the roads.
Even the market areas were totally shut, with hawker stalls firmly packed up. There was total shutdown of the fish hawkers market on Marina Loop Road.
Later in the evening, some inner streets saw people loosening up for walks or stepping out for some fresh air.
