The Madras Sanskrit College is offering full time and part time courses at its campus at R. H. Road, Mylapore. While the Prak Siromani Foundation course, Sanskrit Siromani – M. A. and Sanskrit M.A. (General) courses will be for a period of two years, Siromani Madhyama – B. A. will be for a period of three years. M. Phil and Ph.D in Sanskrit is also offered as per University of Madras norms.
A staff there says, “Students who join us this year will be required to attend online classes temporarily till the colleges open. Admission is on till Sept. 10 for the full time courses. Application forms are available at our office.”
The college also offers a diploma in jyotisham, Bhagavad Gita and sloka classes, Bhagavata Parayanam and other classes under the ‘Sanskrit for all’ scheme. These courses are held once or twice a week and is open for admission all throughout the year. The college also plans to offer a diploma course in advaita vedanta soon.
In addition to this, praveshika, dakshata courses (both level 1 and 2), yoga praveshika and laghu siddhanta kaumudi is offered online at www.digital.madrassanskritcollege.edu.in.
