This store in Mylapore has come up with a unique initiative to protect its customers from the virus.
The popular Mylapore Ganapathy’s Butter and Ghee store is now encouraging its customers to buy its products via Dunzo.
Says Saravanan, the owner of the store, “Most of our customers are seniors. Their family members regularly drop into our store to buy chekku oil, podis, thokku and vadams.
“However, we do not want them to get exposed to the virus. Hence, we are urging everyone to shop via Dunzo.”
“Already, 30 per cent of our customers have shifted to buying products via Dunzo.”
Following lockdown, the delivery platforms like Dunzo have been providing facility to door deliver anything from foodstuff to medicines. “When there is an option people should make use of it for their own safety, ” Saravanan says.
The shop is also open for business. To prevent virus spread, customers are not allowed inside the store. The store’s staff take orders at the gate, pack stuff and handover.
