Rentals market still slow in current times

The rental market in the Mylapore area is not abuzz yet despite pandemic regulations being relaxed over the past few weeks.

Brokers in the rental and real estate business with deals held in Mylapore say that while there are many houses and apartments up for rentals across areas like Mylapore, Alwarpet and R A Puram enquiries are limited and that owners of these properties are not climbing down on rentals.

However, some flat owners who advertised their rentals in Mylapore Times said that there were queries even from outside the state and that they had finalised deals quickly.

Being the Aadi season, brokers say the bookings will be low and those who have recently taken up rentals are not moving in immediately.

The real estate market locally is much slower though brokers say there are a wide variety of flats and houses up for sale at what they say are ‘good’ prices.
