A popular provisions store on Bazzar Road in Mylapore has shut down supposedly because at least three staffers are said to have tested virus positive.
The store was seen shut today and community activist Baskar Seshadri alerted Mylapore Times to this development.
Since the store’s staff do not stay next door, there is no banner or notice on the shutter of this store saying its staff were positive.
Bazaar Road has remained a busy shopping zone since March and even through the lockdown times. In recent times, police patrolling has discouraged people from crowding at shops but even then, people frequent the stores, some daily.
