Ekadaksha Learning Center, a special school at Jeth Nagar, Mandaveli, has now started online classes for their students.
Bharathi. V, one of the co-founders of the school, says, “Most of the children have adapted quite well to the online classes. But these classes can be challenging for certain children. They will not be able to sit down and listen to instructions for more than 10 minutes. And so to help them, we have also been uploading demo videos. Parents are also given weekly planners with activities that the children can do with things available at home”.
The school made an appeal for donation recently. When asked about that she says only a handful of parents have not been able to pay the fees. The school has cut down its fees to help parents who have lost their jobs. Donors have also been pitching in to help out parents who haven’t been able to make payment.
Bharathi says admissions are now open at the school for this academic year for children aged 4 to 18 years. Online consultation is offered in addition to school readiness programmes, remedial classes and early intervention programmes.
