A staff there says, “The doctors here take turns to consult patients from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. after which there is always a duty doctor at the premises till morning”.
Any patient who walks into the premises is first checked for fever, cough or other coronavirus symptoms. If they have any symptoms, they are immediately referred to another hospital.
Elective surgeries are conducted only if the patient tests negative for coronavirus, she says. In the case of an emergency, treatment and surgery is done only if the patient and the attender don’t have any symptoms. A covid test is taken in this case for the patient as well as attender.
