A free workshop on organic gardening will be conducted by Sumithra Srikant on Aug 1 at 10 a.m.
Sumithra has been growing organic veggies and fruits in her garden for more than 16 years now. And for the past three years she has been running a store, Aapti Gardening Solutions, at Alwarpet.
She says, “Sunday(Aug 2) is Aadi perukku. It is considered to be an auspicious day for gardeners to sow their seeds. I wanted to conduct the workshop a day before that to give sufficient time for the participants to get their pots and seeds ready for sowing. ”
The workshop is open to adults and youngsters aged 15 and above. A brief introduction to organic gardening will be given. It will also be useful to those who already have a garden, says Sumithra.
