The free dispensary at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore will now be open in the morning for distribution of medicines only.
The manager of the dispensary Swami Dharmishtanandaji says, “We have been given permission by the Corporation to keep our doors open for about three hours in the morning to distribute medicines to patients who have already had a consultation with the doctors here. Many of them suffer from ailments like wheezing and diabetes and need medicines regularly. There is only one general doctor here to assist the patients who drop in. We will not be seeing any new patients now”.
He also says any new patient who drops in will either be directed to the fever clinics established by the corporation or to other government hospitals.
