When three people tested positive for coronavirus at Sivaraman Street, Mandaveli yesterday, the members of the association there decided to request the health department to conduct a fever camp in their locality.
Velayudham Jayavel, the president of Sivaraman Street Residents’ Association, says, “The camp went on from 8 to 11 a.m. today morning (July 28). The corporation officials took the temperature and the swab test for many residents. More than 150 people, including several senior citizens, came forward to get themselves tested”.
He continues, “We also have about 15 welding, tinkering and vehicle repair shops here. Many shop owners, employees and their family members too got tested”.
