Till last year, Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Higher Secondary School, a state board school which had classes XI and XII only, functioned out of its campus at West Circular Road, Mandavelipakkam.
Now the school has been shifted to a building inside the premises of Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School at Sundareswarar Swamy Street, Mylapore. And since the lockdown online classes have been going on for the students of class XII.
The principal of the school, G. Pandian, says that admissions are now open for classes VI to VIII and class XI. He says, “The admission process will start as soon as the lockdown is over. Class XI students will have five options to choose from in the science group and two options in the commerce group. They can also choose from three languages Thamizh, Sanskrit and French’.
