Two new virus cases have been reported in Mylapore. Of the two, one case has been reported at Karaneeswarar Pagoda Street, behind Citi Centre mall in Mylapore. The other case has been reported at Muthu Street off San Thome High Road.
A Chennai Corporation official attached to ward 125 confirmed the information regarding these virus cases.
At Karaneeswarar Pagoda Street, a Home Guard, who was residing in this street has tested virus-positive.
At Muthu Street, a man working at a private company has tested positive for the virus.
In the past few days, cases have been reported at Chitrakulam North Street and Rosary Church Street.
At Chitrakulam North Street, a doctor and his wife have tested virus-positive. The Corporation official says the doctor is attached to a Corporation’s hospital.
At Rosary Church Street, four family members have tested virus-positive. “Initially, Corporation’s revenue officer who was residing at that street turned virus-positive. Later, his wife and two children tested positive for the virus, ” he said.
