The few fisherfolk who reside in Srinivasapuram ( off Foreshore Estate) put out to sea after the lockdown so they could earn some money and the catch was limited, said local residents.
Kavitha, a social worker who resides here said that nethili and crabs were the main catch of the day and were sold locally.
A bunch of fresh nethili sold for Rs.100 on Friday morning.
Inside the colony, women hawkers sell dry fish – but prices are almost double of what are quoted in normal time. A collection of salted, dry nethili costs Rs.100.
