On Tuesday morning, Mylapore based NGO Sevalaya distributed grocery kits and masks to several households in the Mylapore and San Thome area. Several of them had lost their wages due to lockdown and did not have ration cards, says a press release from the NGO.
While 100 kits comprising rice and provisions were distributed to residents at Nochikuppam and Dooming kuppam, 100 kits were given to residents at Srinivasapuram. The residents of Joseph Colony and Kuyilthottam received 150 kits.
