Rayar’s Mess at Arundale Street, Mylapore is open for business, for takeaways only.
This snacks space has been in business for more than 80 years. P. Kumar, whose grandfather started this business, took over from his father 35 years ago. His brother P. Mohan says, “We are open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the morning and as always the menu is idli, vada and pongal. In the evening, we are open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and serve bonda and dosa varieties. Customers can order on Swiggy and Zomato too”.
He adds, “We charge on a piece rate basis. Vada is priced at Rs. 10 per piece, idli at Rs. 15 and dosa at Rs. 35 per piece. Customers can also call us directly at 9884682307 and place the order.
