Chennai Corporation in association with Vidmed, a telemedicine android application has launched an app to provide video-based medical consultation services to the public.
The services are provided at free of cost.
Called ‘GCC VIDMED’ the app connects patients to doctors through video conference calls.
Says a note from the Corporation posted at its official Twitter page, “Team of experienced doctors will be available for medical consultation via video conferencing. Patients can consult the doctor remotely using the android app. Over the video call, the doctor will provide a plan of care to the patient. A prescription is later sent to them via e-mail and phone message.”
‘GCC VIDMED’ app is available for download at the Google play store.
