It has been more than two weeks since online classes started at Vidya Mandir, Mylapore.
The principal of Vidya Mandir, Shobha Raman says, “For classes X and XII we are using TCS glassroom platform in addition to Zoom and Whatsapp. We have left it to the teacher to decide what platform to use and when. While some of the teachers use powerpoint with narration, some of them are also uploading videos with lessons. Several students have already completed two tests in their subjects”.
She continues, “For Class VIII, classes have started in a similar way and we hope to start sessions for Class IX this week. The teachers have started preparing the materials for the same. We are also using the HeyMath application to send math worksheets to classes VI and VII. Primary classes have been given two sets of assignments so far. We plan to continue these sessions till April 30”.
