For a child, a trip to Marina Beach is never complete without a joy ride on the horse there. Since the lockdown, with the beach closed, the horses who have been a source of entertainment to thousands all these years, have been struggling without feed.
At the request of the PFA (People of Animals), an animal welfare organisation, 500 bags of coarse wheat bran for more than 100 horses were donated by the chairman of the Madras Race Club, MAMR Muthiah. Each bag will contain 35kgs of wheat bran.
