Thankfully, small food joints are open through the day to feed those who depend on such food.
The popular Janal Bajji shop on Ponnambala Vadyar Street, close to the east side of Sri Kapali Temple ( a place where snacks are served through a small window), bajji, dosa and bonda are on offer in the evenings only. But the place closes early.
There isn’t a big crowd here.
Mami’s Mess close by ( Pitchu Pillai Street) is also a saviour for people who need to pack snacks and rice items.
On Adam Street, community activist Baskar Seshadri reports that Hari Foods offers breakfast and early lunch; but only for takeaways.
