On the eve of Christmas, children at Second Trust Main Road, Mandaveli got excited when a street carolling group arrived in their area.
In front of a roadside shrine of Mother Mary at this busy street, lined with tea stalls, and two-wheeler servicing shops, the team from Maranatha church in Greenways Road, R.A.Puram, sang carols in Tamizh.
A member of the group dressed as Santa Claus also entertained the kids with an impromptu dance. And later distributed chocolates to them.
Said Joshua, a volunteer of the group, “We enjoy street carolling. Hence we perform it every year at various parts across the city.”
