The 15th edition of the Parallel Music Fest will be inaugurated by N. Murali, president, Music Academy today at the Academy’s mini hall. The guest of honour is vocalist Dr. S. Sowmya, she will perform later in the evening.
The lifetime achievement award will be presented to Hemalatha Mani (veena), the distinguished Carnatic musician award will be given to violinist T. K. Padmanabhan and the promising Carnatic musician award will be presented to violinist N. S. Gokula Krishnan. At T. T. K. Road, Alwarpet, 4 p.m.
