This is how a few temples in the neighbourhood will be celebrating Hanuman Jayanthi this year…
At Sri Anjaneya Temple at TNSC Bank Compound, Luz Church Road, Alwarpet (near Kauvery Hospital), the celebrations will be held on Dec. 25. A thirumanjanam will be held for the deity in the morning. The deity will then adorn a thanga kavasam. In the evening, the deity will adorn a vennai kappu.
At Sri Venkatesa Perumal Devasthanam, Mari Chetty Street, Mandaveli, the celebrations will take place on Dec. 25 evening. Interested devotees may register for vada malai by paying Rs. 400. For details contact 9444583616, 8148142865.
At Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, the celebrations will be held on Dec. 26. In the evening, a thirumanjanam will be held for the deity (both moolavar and utsavar).
