Well known violinist L. Shenkar will be honoured with the Gottuvadyam Narayana Iyengar Award for excellence at the inauguration of Chennai Fine Arts’ annual music festival on Dec 21 at Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz.
The award carries a gold medallion, a citation and a purse of Rs. 1 lakh. The ‘Deerghadarsi Puraskaar’ title will be conferred on the members of the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana Festival Committee. The festival will go on for ten days. For the schedule visit www.chennaifinearts.com.
