The Eco-Indian store at Dr.Ranga Road, Mylapore has come up with a facility to freecycle glass and ceramic containers. Freecycling is the act of recycling unused items without a financial transaction.
People can donate unused glass/ceramic containers at a trolley kept outside this store. And in turn, they can pick up a free jar of their choice.
Says a staffer here, “Many time glass/ceramic containers that are not useful for a person might be useful to another person. So we came up with this process. And it has got a good response from our customers.”
