A bio-gas plant was installed by the students of Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam at the Raja Muthiah Boys School campus at R. A. Puram on Nov. 21 and 22.
The students were able to construct a circuit where the LDR (light dependent resistant sensor) worked. They were also able to charge the battery with the solar cells given. A proposal on the cost effectiveness of using solar lamps was presented to the school. A discussion was also held on the possibility of installing similar bio-gas plants at homes.
The students, who took up this project as part of their global citizenship programme, were guided by their teachers Rizwan and Vimal.
