Thaligai Restaurant on Luz Church Road is providing pre-made Deepavali marundu (shown in picture) as complimentary along with their traditionally made sweets and savouries pack (Deepavali Bhakshanam).
Nalina Kannan, the owner of the restaurant says, “We make the marundu in the form of a halwa. Jaggery, honey, ghee, pepper, omam, chukku, jeera, and other herbs are mixed in appropriate proportions to prepare the marundu,” she says.

The popular Dabba Chetty nattu marundhu shop in Kutchery Road sells Deepavali marundhu in the form of powder and paste. 40 grams of the marundu powder is priced at Rs. 50. And 100 grams of its paste is priced at Rs. 100. Ph: 24985125.
Venkataramana Ayurvedic Dispensary at Kutchery Road is offering Deepavali special lehiyam in packs of 100, 200 and 500 grams. A box with 100 grams of the lehiyam is priced at Rs. 126. Ph: 24984513.
