An exhibition and sale of handmade dolls was organised at Maharashtra Nivas, Alwarpet this past weekend. Organised by Sanskruthi Doll Makers and Craft Association, this exhibition had on display more than 1500 dolls made of different materials including clay, wood, paper and cloth.
There were dolls depicting village scenes, wedding and harvest stories and dolls of deities including Lord Krishna dancing with the gopikas.
Several hundred people, including women and children, dropped in to have a look at the exhibition and purchase ones that fitted their theme this year.
