A week after contract workers dug the pavement off Venkatakrishna Road, Mandaveli to construct recharge wells, the work seems to be moving at a slow pace.
Ten recharge wells are planned on this stretch to avoid water stagnation during heavy rains.
However, only three points have been dug up. And cement rings are sunk at one point. “It is taking time as there are limited workers to work on this project,” said a worker who was at the site.
