Ramakrishna Math’s Thamizh magazine ‘Sri Ramakrishna Vijayam’ is to celebrate its 100th year soon. In this regard a discussion was held with patrons and social activists at the Math’s premises at R. K. Mutt Road, Mylapore recently.
According to a press release, the Math plans to celebrate the milestone from Jan 2020 to 21 with multiple cultural and literary events and talks. They plan to work with the HR departments of corporates to find out how employees can avail subscriptions. Competitions on how to revamp the magazine will also be held.The panelists included Swami Apavargananda, editor of the magazine, Swami Vimurtananda, manager of the Math, Thiruppur Krishnan, editor, Amudha Surabhi magazine, Kizhambur Sankara Subramaniam, editor, Kalaimagal magazine and poet Ramanan.
