There has been an increase in the fees for students appearing for their CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams. For general category students, the fees has been increased from Rs.750 to Rs.1500 for five subjects.
The principal of a neighbourhood school says, “The increase is justified. Many teachers are now employed for valuation of exam papers to ensure that errors don’t occur. This increase can be used to pay teachers who put in extra hours”.
