On July 15 afternoon, to celebrate the 117 th birthday of K. Kamaraj, the former Chief Minister of the Madras state (Tamil Nadu), Kamarajar Narpani Manram, a R. A. Puram based group distributed biriyani and sweets to the passersby.
Kamaraj was born on July 15 1903.
The distribution took place at R. A. Puram 3rd cross street, near Amma Unavagam.”We have been doing this as a service since ten years,” said Siva, a member of the group.
