A sewer block that led to contamination of Metro Water at Rajasekaran street off Dr R.K.Salai has been addressed now and things seem okay now.
The location of the block was found after Executive Engineer of zone 9 urged the Metro Water workers of ward 121 to solve the issue as soon as possible.
For the past few months, residents of this area were affected by frequent sewer blocks at a particular point. On July 2, the issue worsened and contaminated a large quantity of water that the residents had stored in their sumps.
Now the residents have got relief from the problem.”This morning (July 4) sewage water flowed smoothly and there was no issue,” said S. R. Venkateswaran, a resident.
