On June 21, the Vidya Mandir Alumni Association organised an event to induct the students who recently passed out of the school. 150 students took part in this annual event held at the school campus.
Principal Shobha Raman gave an account of the work done by the association. Anirudha, a lawyer and alumnus of the school, instituted an endowment for Rs. 1 lakh in memory of his great grandfather K. Srinivasa Ayyangar. The award carries a gold medal to be given every year to the best student of the legal studies department.
Another alumna, Lakshmi Krishnamoorthy, who works at Punjab National Bank, handed over a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh towards the Group Medical Insurance Scheme Corpus.
