On June 20, Mylaporeans got a little respite from the scorching heat as there were slight showers throughout the evening. People rejoiced when the showers started.
M. Mythili, a nurse at St Isabel hospital says, “I and my friends were praying for rain since the past one month. It should rain heavily at least for a few more days.”
Vasantha, Krishnaveni, and Bhuvana were having a serious discussion on rain, at Sri Kapali Temple. Vasantha said, “My friend said it is raining heavily in Adyar. So we believe it will reach here soon.”
The three decided to get fully drenched at least for two to three days whenever it rains heavily.
