The Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) at C. P Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet has shifted to the nearby Lions Diabetes Centre present on the same road.
It has also started its operation from there.
From the past two days, Chennai corporation contract workers are demolishing the old UPHC building near the corporation community hall. (The picture shows the building under demolition)
When contacted a corporation official from the Health Department of GCC, Ripon Building, said, “We are going to construct a new hospital after demolition. So for the time being the UPHC will operate from the Lions Diabetes Centre.”
