Jugal Kishore, a traditional jewellary shop at C.P. Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet, known for antique jewellery collections is offering a 10 % discount on silver jewellery. Many silver pendants with traditional and intricate designs are available now.
“The pendants are made by the traditional artisans from Jaipur,” says the staff of the shop.
To mark Akshaya Tritiya the shop had decorated its entrance with colourful dupattas and flowers.
“We welcome customers to buy jewellery on this day but we don’t have specific discounts for Akshaya Tritiya because we sell at a nominal rate and provide discounts throughout the year,” he says.
The antique jewellery drew many shoppers on May 7 afternoon. “Even though the antique items look dull, they go very well with saree and give an elegant look,” said M. Latha, a shopper.
Apart from this the shop also offers traditional gold jewellery made by skilled goldsmiths and chains made of precious beads and stones.
