The heat has set in. There seems to be no improvement in the water situation.
Several residents in the neighbourhood have complained that it takes more than 20 days for the water lorries to deliver water after a booking has been made.
The AE of Metro Water, Zone 9 says, “For the Mylapore area, we have pressed an additional 90 lorries of different capacities into service. We will continue to supply water every other day till the next monsoon. We are getting water from the desalination plants at Nemmeli and Minjur, Veeranam lake and a little from Krishna river too”.
